i) Would you use personal pronouns in your academic essays? Why? Cite ONE instance in which you think the use of personal pronouns is acceptable in academic writing and ONE instance in which you think is not acceptable.
ii) Do you think the extensive use of the personal pronoun 'we' in the essay by Chirk Jenn Ng, Hui Meng Tan, and Wah Yun Low affects the rationality and objectivity of their argument? Explain and cite relevant examples from the essay to support your opinion
b. Focus on the section 'Discussion' in the essay on pp. 353-354, and complete the following tasks:
i) "The discussion section should be more integrated with the field and more connected to the real world than other sections of an essay" (Swales and Feak, 2009). Do you think Chirk Jenn Ng, Hui Meng Tan, and Wah Yun Low have achieved that in their essay? Why? Support your discussion with relevant examples from the essay.
ii) Identify any THREE linking words/phrases used in this section and explain how each of these linking words/phrases helps you to understand the relationships between the ideas in this section
