This assignment is designed to get you used to preparing proposal evaluation documents, and in using those documents to evaluate various vendor proposals. This is a 'common sense' exercise, and there is no template in the book for you to use.

Review the documents attached to this assignment, and the RFP from Assignment 6. The documents attached to this assignment are the responses of the two companies to the RFP.

Use these documents, and the RFP Scoresheet below, to evaluate the responses. You may modify the spreadsheet if you find it doesn't do the job. Based on your evaluation, select a winning proposal. Write a half-page executive summary, describing why you thought the winning proposal was best.

1. you have a spreadsheet, showing the requirements 2. you have proposals from two companies, saying how they will fill the requirements

3. you read the proposals and score how well you think they will fill each requirement. Mark that on the spreadsheet.

4. decide which company you think will do best

5. write a summary for your boss, telling him what you recommend, and why you recommend it. There is no 'right' answer.
