Understand the relationship between organisational structure and culture. LO.2 Understand different approaches to management and leadership Compare and contrast the organisational structure and culture that exists in the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) with that of another consultancy. Discuss the effects of the structures and cultures on the performance of these organisations. Submit your identified organisational structures at the back of your report in the form of appendices Leadership styles can influence the behaviour of individuals in the workplace. Compare leadership styles (2.1). Discuss leadership style and other factors (work environment and empowerment) and how they can influence individual behaviour (1.3). Explain other factors, including Organisational Theory (e.g. Taylor and Henri Fayol) that influence the workplace practice (2.2). Merits and Distinctions Explain the relationship between leadership styles and factors that motivate employees in the context of CMI. You should use one theory (such as Maslow, Hertzberg and others) to support your argument. This relates to question 2.1. Demonstrate how organisational culture impacts upon leadership style.
