Assignment title: Information

The two self assessments which have chosen to assess my individual behaviour and processes are The Big Five Personality Test and Jung Typology Test. These two particular assessments were completed as I wanted to know my personality type along with my strengths of preference. Both assessments have their similarities and are commonly used model of personality traits especially The Big Five. Team Roles Preferences Scale and Team Role Test, are the two completed for the team processes self assessments. In any organisational team work is important in achieving their specific goals, a team that does not have ideal composition may run into problems. I have selected these two assessments so that I can measure my preferred roles in a team environment, and perform better. The measured roles are found in businesses and management teams throughout the world in many cultures. For the organisational processes assessments, Organisational Culture Test and Preferred Organisational Structure Assessment were selected. The best evaluated way to determine the type of organisational culture and structure I will best fit into is by looking at how I would react in typical work situations. The above two assessments will illustrate if the results actually match with my personal ideas and expectations. Undertaking the six self assessment tests will allow me to better understand myself, my personality traits and the organisational setting I would best fit in. From the results, I can determine my strengths, my weaknesses, from which to expect the areas I should improve on to be an effective manager in the future and face on the many challenges life has to offer. 1.1. Self-Assessment Results The following were resulted from the Big Five Personality Test; I scored a low 2.8 out of 5 for Extraversion, a high score of 4/5 Conscientiousness, 4/5 Agreeableness and medium scored of 3.3 Neuroticism and 3.5 Openness. My type on the Jung Typology Test was ISFJ which consisted of 44% Introvert meaning I have a moderate preference of Introversion of Extraversion. Result of 12% on Sensing and Feeling which was only a slight preference over Intuition and Thinking respectively. Only 1% was scored for Judging which was marginal or no preference over Perceiving. The following results were obtained from the Team Roles Preferences Scale: 12 for encourager, 10 for harmonizer and all three; gatekeeper, initiator and summarizer I scored 9. It was revealed that I have strong preference as an encourager and the rest of the team roles resulted in moderate preferences. While on the Team Role Test, I was measured to have 14% on the following team roles; completer, expert, executive, driver and innovator. I was graded 11% for both team player and chairman and only 6% and 2% for explorer and analyst respectively. From the Organisational Culture Test, I was measured a total score of 55 out of 100 which means that my current workplace's culture could be a lot worse and at the same time they could also be better. On the other hand, I was found to have moderate preference in organisations with tall hierarchy, formalization, centralisation and mechanistic structure preference in the Preferred Organisational Structure Assessment. 1.2. Self-Assessment Analysis Before the six self assessments were completed, I could predict my personality and to some degree I had my own expectations on the results.
