Purpose of this assignmentThe purpose of the assignment is to enable learners demonstrate their understanding of the concepts and practices of human resource management focusing on the management of recruitment, retention and employment cessation.Learners will be able to apply their understanding on the application of the key theories of Human resource management and will be able to assess the link between motivational theory and reward. They will be able to explore the definitions on Human Resource Management and broaden their horizon on what is meant by Personnel management and Human Resource management and identify the difference in between them. It will also allow the learners to consider the use of legal and regulatory matters related to recruitment, retention and employment cessation.ScenarioSmiddle DD is a family owned supermarket operating in East London. They plan to open three more branches in the London area over the next two years in order to manage the running of these branches, you as HR co-ordinator have been tasked with reviewing and developing HR policies and procedures in line with supermarkets giants such as LIDL and ALDI.
