Aim: (1.5)The main objective of this assessment is to trial the recruitment and selection policy andprocedure, along with, forms and documents formerly developed in AT1 assessment throughthe demonstration of a formally structured interview for the job position of a "computersalesperson".Task: (1.5)Students, in groups of three, are required to perform a practical role-play simulating ascenario of interviewing a potential candidate for the job role of a computer salesperson. Asa result, students will need to undertake the following roles a) interviewer, b) interviewee,and c) evaluator. The evaluator is required to establish and make the necessaryadjustments to the recruitment and selection policy and supporting documentation.1. Dress according to simulated interview scenario2. Arrange an appropriate environment and setting for interview3. Appropriate greeting to interviewee4. Make reference to analysis of interviewee application (formerly reviewed)5. Provide an overview of the organisation and job position to employee6. Utilise structured interview questionnaire7. Ask probing questions (outside the structure) to encourage interviewee response8. Demonstrate appropriate verbal and non-verbal body language9. Stipulate to management if specialist support is necessary (lecturer as replacement)10. Interview evaluation tool completed based on factual assessment of applicantThe evaluator is required to observe the simulated interview role play with the aim to identifywhere adjustments are required relevant to the recruitment and selection policy, along with,supporting documentation and forms as part of the quality assurance process. Therefore,the evaluator must prepare and implement the following:1. Bring a note pad and paper to the interview or alternatively iPad to document notesthroughout the formal structured interview.2. Document the strengths and weaknesses of the recruitment and selection policyand procedure.3. Evaluate and document any improvements required to forms and supportingdocuments developed: job description, job application, interview questionnaire,weighted evaluation form) once trialled. Would you suggest any improvements?4. Stipulate how the selection procedure follows organisational policy and legalrequirements or if improvements are required.5. Make necessary adjustments to trialled forms and documents where applicable.
