You work for "It's a Babies World" head office. "It's a Babies World" is a Privately-owned Child Care Company that has 26 child care centres around NSW and the ACT. You are the Human Resources Manager (HRM) and have team of two Human Resources (HR) Specialists, one HR Consultant and two HR Assistants. Each HR Specialist is 'paired' with an HR Assistant and assigned responsibility for 13 child care centres across a region of NSW and ACT for HR-related issues for. The HR Consultant is considered a 'floater' within this HR team and responsible for supporting both teams of HR Specialists and Assistants. "It's a Babies World" is currently short staffed of permanent fulltime ECT's (Early Childhood Teachers) and Diploma qualified Child Care Workers. They have been recruiting these vacant positions across a number of stores state-wide for many months. Now, each child care centre is desperately in need of permanent fulltime ECT's as their legal allowance for the number of children per child care centre, and license to operate as a Child Care Centre depends on having an ECT on premises. "It's a Babies World" had been hiring temporary ECT's on a contractual basis from recruitment company People First Pty Ltd. As the HRM, you have recently had a serious complication over fees with People First Pty Ltd and they have stopped all business with you at this current time. People First Pty Ltd are claiming that you have not paid an amount of $15,000 for over three months, but the first time you are hearing about this is when Kay, Managing Director of People First called to say they have put a stop to all business until this amount is paid. It is currently Monday and you have been advised that at the end of business on Friday all temporary ECT's and Diploma qualified Child Care Workers across your child care centres throughout NSW and ACT will be 'pulled' from working for "It's a Babies World". Task 1 1. Develop a meeting agenda for an urgent meeting to be held after tomorrow with the entire "It's a Babies World" HR Team and other relevant internal stakeholders you feel should be involved in addressing the above issue outlined in the case study. 2.
