Use your critical thinking skills. You can summarize the readings BRIEFLY (maybe a couple of sentences) if it helps you organize your thoughts and to demonstrate that you understood each of the readings. However, the bulk of your response should be your reflections and thoughts about those readings for the rest of the 500-700 words. Aside from critical thinking, it is important that you use proper paragraph and paper structure so that your ideas are easy to follow. A paragraph should have a topic sentence, followed by a supportive body, and should end with a conclusion. This structure holds true for the entire assignment as well. You should begin with an introductory paragraph outlining the issue(s) you wish to discuss, followed by your thesis statement on the subject. Then proceed to have 2+ paragraphs supporting your ideas using examples and references from the weekly readings. Finally, finish with a concluding paragraph to summarize the main points you have made throughout the assignment.
