You are required to conduct research on one of the topics below and then make a presentation to the class. If you are studying off-campus, you may choose to submit a written report of your research or join the on-campus students to do a presentation; or submit your ppt slides together with your recorded video presentation on DSO. The date for the presentation will be announced later via DSO. Should you wish you select a different topic, you should first discuss this with your unit coordinator and obtain his or her permission. Each presentation should last approximately 10 minutes. Assuming you are a senior systems analyst working in an IT division of a large organization that currently uses the traditional SDLC as the standard for developing new systems. You have been asked by your manager (1) to examine the system analysis methods they are using with a view to recommending the appropriate one to be adopted by the company. (3) Set up a system development plan for carrying out system development in structured approach with a justification of the time schedule for a normal scale system. 2. Assuming you are employed by a large system development firm. They are currently conducting an open discussion on the features of structured approach and object oriented approach of systems analysis and design. You have been asked by your manager (1) To examine 3 major difference of structured approach and object oriented approach with a view to recommending under which circumstance which approach is more appropriate. (2) Explain 3 features of the object oriented approach to systems analysis and design. (3) Set up a plan for carrying out this request with a justification of the time schedule.
