You have to reflect on what sort of leader you currently are and desire to be - both in terms of leading others AND leading yourself. This requires self-reflection and consideration of various leadership models and how they relate to you. This assessment is ultimately about your current perception. As you complete the assignment, I encourage you to:• Reflect on your strengths, areas for development, your leadership style, how the culture of your organisation impacts you. Perhaps your societal and/or national culture impacts your leadership style. Reflect on this.• Reflect on your own leadership journey to date – how have the various events of your current role and past positions, people and environment contributed to your leadership development and the perception you have of yourself in this capacity.• Complete various personality or leadership styles assessment (you should be able to find a version of MBTI freeonline using google. There are many others). You may also like to utilise other resources, ie the Johari Window, SWOT analysis etc. Do some research to support this.• Review various leadership models and theories to use as a framework as you develop an awareness and understanding of your current leadership style (I posted a document outlining some theories/models. You may like to research others. Also reflect on the learning resources provided).• Obtain feedback from a fellow student on your leadership journey and current challenges. Also, ask others in your network who may be able to shed light/provide useful feedback for reflection.Ultimately, this assignment is about you developing the ability to reflect on your leadership style, strengths and areas for development – while remembering to use theoretical models and theories of leadership as a framework. Remember to reference properly - this is an important aspect of academic writing. Very importantly It is also necessary to show you can work with another to support leadership development through giving and receiving feedback - so be sure to incorporate this into your report.
