Assignment title: Information
The content of this assignment is left-sided heart failure. Refer to the following brief case on Simon as you prepare your answers to the questions. Simon is a 72 year old male who is in hospital due to worsening of his left-sided heart failure. When he was 59, he suffered from a myocardial infarction to his left ventricle, which led to him developing leftsided heart failure. In this case, Simon has the clinical symptoms that are expected for a patient with left-sided heart failure. In order to understand his body size, his dimensions are provided here. Another staff member earlier suggested to him that he is overweight, but he got irate at this and says that he weighs a lot because he's so tall. Simon's measurements are: 180cm tall 130kg 125cm waist circumference Question 1: Provide a full interpretation and commentary about Simon's body shape and size, including comment on how what would be required in order for him to be of healthy weight (for example, what would be his measurement/s when he is of healthy weight?). In your answer, also explain how his obesity relates to left-sided heart failure (approx 200 words; worth 10 marks). Question 2: Create two new "hypothetical" (imaginary) medications that could be used for Simon's heart failure and his clinical symptoms. Choose any two key aspects that the drug will have, in either treating his existing left-sided heart failure or his clinical symptoms, or in preventing a worsening of his condition, ensuring your medication is related to left-sided heart failure
