Assignment title: Information
The purpose of a case brief is to summarize the court's/tribunals's decision in a case, and provide a critical analysis of the reasons. The word "brief" is important. In a case brief, you do not rewrite the entire contents of the judge's/tribunal's decision in your own words. A proper case brief provides a brief summary of the facts and procedural background, and identifies the legal issue(s) to be determined and the key points in the judge's/tribunal's analysis of the governing legal principles. Finally, you must provide your critical analysis of the decision, based on legal principles and considerations. (For example, did the court/tribunal adhere to the law as set out? Did the court/tribunal expand or change the law with this decision? Are the reasons for the court's/tribunal's decision in this case clear?) Your personal philosophical views are not relevant
