In a case brief, you do not rewrite the entire contents of the judge's/tribunal's decision in your own words. A proper case brief provides a brief summary of the facts and procedural background, and identifies the legal issue(s) to be determined and the key points in the judge's/tribunal's analysis of the governing legal principles. Finally, you must provide your critical analysis of the decision, based on legal principles and considerations. (For example, did the court/tribunal adhere to the law as set out?
