Media Planning Project: Scenario for the Project Manage a team of media planners working for you. Assign the team tasks and timelines. As a Media Planner for a successful advertising agency, drive through the Federal Highway making notes of your agency's billboards advertising a popular automobile brand. Analyze their requirements for brand improvements to keep ahead of competitors. Create a new media plan for your client. What could be the client's new requirements? Create a media plan that would include an important compliance element recently announced. Develop a strategy that would overcome possible barriers to your successful campaign. Write an assignment that illustrates your ability to organize meetings, discussions, appreciation for industry governance. You are also encouraged to consider the elements below: 1. Analyze the requirements for brand improvements; 2. Create a new media plan explain its process; 3. Incorporate an important brand enhancement feature; 4. Develop a strategy that would overcome possible barriers; Project Work Presentation Requirements 10%: • Presentations will be schedule on during the 11th and 12th week: • Each group of 2-3 members shall prepare a 20 minutes presentation on your project. • PPT presentation of six slides to a page with explanation and cover page, shall be submitted for evaluation. • Total Marks: This presentation carries 10% of the total value. Assignment Format and Criteria: a) Use 1.5 spacing and 12-point Times New Roman font. b) The length of this assignment is expected to be 3000 words, with a minimum of ten (10) sources of reference to support your writing. c) References should use the American Psychological Association (APA) format. d) References should be latest (year 2005 and later). • Due Dates: Assignment 1, 1.00pm, Friday of week 6, in the lecturer's drop box. • Assignment 2, 1.00pm, Friday of week 12, in the lecturer's drop box. • Presentation dates will be announced in class. Students are expected to prepare a report addressing issues given in the assignment. The report structure: • Cover page. • Contents page(s). • Introduction • Body of work, analysis – into a number of sections. • Conclusions. • Reference/Bibliography. • Appendix. (if any) Please pay particular attention to the following: • The introduction should be no more than one page, but it should excite interest for a reader, other than the assessor, to read the whole. • Ensure that the contents page precisely reflects the whole content of the assignment. • Page numbering: Ensure that the contents page accurately reflects the position of the contents. Page numbers prior to the 'introduction' should be roman numerals. From the introduction onwards page numbering should be Arabic. • Bibliography/references should be listed according to the Harvard convention with the authors listed in alphabetical order. Each reference should have the following format: Authors last name, initials, [year of publication], title of publication, publication details. e.g. Porter, M.E.(2001) 'Strategy and the Internet', Harvard Business Review, March-April pp. 63-78 • Authors should be accurately referenced within the report according to the Harvard convention. • The word count should be entered on the title page. • Do not incorporate 'clip art' or any computer generated art/icons in the report. • Do not use 'fancy' covers or bindings. • Staple in the top left corner. • Font: Use Times New Roman or something similar with a font size of 12 except for section headings. 1.5 spacing.
