You have been asked by your line manager to give a brief overview on the office automation software that TeleBiz can introduce in their new branch at Auckland. Most of the work that their employees do is in spread sheets, word processing, presentation, poster design, and lightweight data base management. You are required to: (1) Report on what kinds of performance criteria (at least 5 such measures) will you use to address the requirement of the organization. (6 Marks) Task 2 Recommending System Development Software for an ICT Based Organization (20 Marks) Scenario 1: Business Improvement for RapidProgram RapidProgram is a software development company famous for doing hardware programming. The company develop software solutions for different hardware interfaces including device drivers, embedded programming, device interfacing, microcontroller programing and other hardware related programming. Recently a client company named TrafficControler Inc. has consulted RapidProgram to programme for their newly designed solar powered portable device that collects traffic images and later transmit it using microwaves to a PC where it can be analysed for any offences, non-payment, theft and other related issues. You being a part of the programming team at RapidProgram are asked to provide a feedback on the following issues: 1) Requirement of the project 2) Selection of programming language 3) Selection of Integrated development environment (IDE) 4) Number of people that should work on this project 5) Effort and timeline for the project Following are the type of questions that they want you to respond. The organization has also a separate online retail shop for the purpose of online sale in New Zealand only. The organization is keen to have an ICT setup which can efficiently manage their day to day operations along with facilitating the company head office, which is in Europe, to overlook into their New Zealand business with the help of ICT technology.
