Your Project is to plan and manage a conference. You work for Total conference Concepts, a company that specialises in the management of conferences, meetings and events, as a planning and marketing executive. A major part of your work is spent assisting clients to organise conferences. A client wants your input on organising a conference on "Sports Injuries – what doctors and lawyers must know!" The conference is planned to have at least 100 delegates and take place over 1 full day. Your budget for this conference is $50,000.00 You are required to produce a Business Report outlining the details as set out below including appendix items. . Element 1: Plan conference 1. Outline the conference title, purpose and target audience ( approx 1 page) 2. Discuss the steps you would take to plan the event 3. Define the project stakeholders and explain in your own words the limits of your responsibility within this project. 4. Create a plan or Gantt chart that introduces team members, sets out all tasks, who is responsible and in what time frames 5. Outline the consultation process taken and methods you used to ensure each team members views were included in decision making process. 6. Identify limits, constraints and risks of the project. 7. Prepare a comprehensive budget, including any sponsorship arrangements Element 2: Promote conference 1. Select appropriate speakers and explain the reason for your choice and how this will promotion the conference theme 2. Identify your target market for promotion 3. Outline your marketing strategy, including examples of advertising material and an explanation of how you will use each piece of advertising material to market the conference 4. Prepare an appropriate conference program and explain how you would distribute this program to each registered participant.
