Your boss has asked you to compile a report on diseases in the UK and provide detailed plans on how the diseases would be controlled. When compiling your report, you are expected to work with government and nongovernment agencies involved in measuring occurrence of and controlling diseases either locally, nationally in the UK or world over. In this case you should address the following: 1. Examine the various approaches and strategies used by different agencies identifying the levels of health and the incidence/prevalence of disease in communities. 2. Give the distribution of different diseases using statistics and epidemiology. 3. Based on searches from credible sources (books, Journals, internet), produce a fact sheet that explain, using statistical data, the epidemiology (incidence and spread) of one infectious and one non-infectious disease that is widespread in their own country. Task 2: L02 Be able to investigate the implications of illness and disease in communities for the provision of health and social care services (Recommended word up to 1000 words) As a member of the local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) responsible for the overall health and well-being in your local area, you are invited to write a report that will examine what primary prevention, treatment, palliative and remedial care services have to be prioritised in your local area. Discuss the services (facilities, expertise, and partnership, funding, individual vs. public good) which will be required to care for individuals living with those illnesses. 1. Use relevant research to determine what are the current priorities and approaches to the provision of services for people with disease or illness. [P2.1] 2. Preparation guidelines of the Coursework Document a. All coursework must be word processed. b. Document margins must not be more than 2.54 cm (1 inch) or less than 1.9cm (3/4 inch). c. Font size must be within the range of 10 point to 14 point including the headings and body text (preferred font size is 11). d. Standard and commonly used type face such as Arial should be used. e. All figures, graphs and tables must be numbered. f. Material taken from external sources must be properly refereed and cited within the text using Harvard standard g. Do not use Wikipedia as a reference. 4. Plagiarism and Collusion Any act of plagiarism or collusion will be seriously dealt with according to the College regulations. In this context the definition and scope of plagiarism and collusion are presented below: Plagiarism is presenting somebody else's work as your own. It includes copying information directly from the Web or books without referencing the material; submitting joint coursework as an individual effort. Collusion is copying another student's coursework; stealing coursework from another student and submitting it as your own work. Suspected plagiarism or collusion will be investigated and if found to have occurred will be dealt with according to the college procedure. Student must check their assignments on ICON VLE with plagiarism software Turnitin to make sure the similarity index for their assignment stays within the College approved level. Glossary  Analyse: Break an issue into its constituent parts. Look in depth at each part using supporting arguments and evidence for and against the arguments as well as how these interrelate to one another.  Critically evaluate/analyse: Give your verdict as to what extent a statement or findings within a piece of research are true, or to what extent you agree with them. Provide evidence taken from a wide range of sources which both agree with and contradict an argument.
