Assignment title: Information

You will create and publish 2 digital images or posters that engage technically with image manipulation and compositing and the interplay of image and text. Conceptually, the work produced in A3 will act as a creative, practice-based exploration and engagement with issues relevant to the subject. You are expected to publish work-in-progress examples and documentation for this Assessment item, reflecting on the conceptual, creative and technical experimentation involved in their digital image production; as well as any ethical or copyright issues involved in their production- and how you have managed these. It is expected that more than two iterations will be published to your blog, although you will alert us to your "final" 2 images. This means you are not just marked on the expertise of the final 2 images, but on the iterative, thoughtful, process-based development you demonstrate via your blog. 500 words on "REAL. LIVES. MATTER" 500 words on "retweet the #realworld." When analyzing the image, make sure to refer to the attachment called "Image Descriptions". This has all the information on the images. Then, you must write a 1000 word documentation, which should discuss: • the conceptual ideas you are exploring • the creative and technical experimentation ( eg filters, masks, colour grading, image softwares, typography, layout etc etc) • any ethical or copyright issues in your work ( which is to be published online) and how you are managing these. I HAVE ALREADY CREATED THE 2 DIGITAL IMAGES. Refer to the uploaded files for the images to analyze. Tone: The tone of the documentation is a bit less formal than A1; and certainly not as formal as an essay- this is an iterative, creative process. A good place to start might be with the concept/ ideas you're exploring; the tools or techniques you're experimenting with; and how you're feeling about what you've produced. Make sure you mention any copyrighted images, attribute them, discuss why you are working with them, how you might be planning on getting permission to use them, or any other ethical implications of the images you are working with (eg indigenous imagery). Criteria for marking: • Creativity of concepts and theories explored - 20% • Aesthetic and technical refinement within images - 20% • Clarity of iterative, process-based documentation - 20% • Critical reflection on ethical aspects of production - 20% • Depth of engagement in peer feedback - 20% MAKE SURE TO WRITE A REFERENCE LIST FOR THE IMAGES. the work-in-progress images for the first image i created for the essay (500 words on this) and images for the SECOND image i created for the essay (500 words on this). are attached as jpg files. The theme for the first image is "REAL / UNREAL", and the theme for the second image is "CONNECTION / DISCONNECTION". Please write according to the theme and ANALYZE THE IMAGES CRITICALLY.
