Presentation and effectiveness of communication (4 marks) Structure, style, grammar, fluency and effective communication of issues, findings and conclusions. It is assumed that at post graduate level the presentation will be of a standard commonly expected in the academic world. This means that your research effort will result in sufficient information for you to write a overview of the framework/theory, but then allow you apply the framework/theory to the organisational situation. General discussion loosely related to the concepts and issues under consideration will not demonstrate your understanding of concepts and issues relevant to the specific assessment task. Scholarship (4 marks) Evidence of ability to research, analyse and critically evaluate materials relevant to the task; academically rigorous use of supporting references; appropriate use of supporting course content. Scholarship includes being able to locate academically rigorous literature, decide which is relevant to the topic under consideration and coherently discuss, the academic literature. Further, it is necessary to provide evidence of your ability to research, analyse and critically evaluate the materials you have determined as relevant to the industry and/or organisation, and which also specifically address the requirements of the assignment. Effectiveness of responses to task requirements (8 marks) This includes addressing each of the specific topic areas/ issues/ concepts required by the assessment task. The student needs to identify the specific issues relevant to task requirements, undertake relevant research to determine the specific concepts and issues in the literature, and then link these back to the assessment task. Finally, an engaging and interactive presentation was provided that was well led generating stimulating and thoughtful discussion from the class.( worth 5 marks of the 8) If this is not evident, then the assignment will not be considered as adhering to assessment task requirements.
