Assignment title: Information

Instructions for 'Find & Explain' Assignments If you want full credit on assignments, you need to follow these points – and do a good job answering questions so… …READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS.  Type your first and last name, class name, and assignment number at the top of the first page. This means that you do not type the date, the professor's name, the time and place of the class, etc. This is unnecessary. If you fail to put your first and last name on the assignment, you will receive a zero on the assignment.  Do not use a cover page.  Use one-inch margins, 11- or 12-point font (preferably Times New Roman or something similar), and double-space.  Number the answers accordingly, including sub-answers such as 1a, 1b, etc.  Do not retype each question on your assignment. Turn in answers only.  Use complete sentences. If you do not use complete sentences, you will receive a zero on the assignment.  Do not use any quotes! USE YOUR OWN WORDS. Ten points will be counted off for each quote that is used.   Proofread. Technology provides you with squiggly green and/or red lines to let you know something is not right. Pay attention. Once I get to a third gross grammatical error, I will stop grading your assignment.  Make corrections to your assignment before printing it out and turning it in. Ten points will be deducted for each "written edit" that is done after printing the copy you turn in.  Be sure to provide page numbers in the text for the pages you refer to for information to assist you in answering the questions. Ten points will be counted off for each answer for which page numbers are not provided.  Do not plagiarize. If you are caught plagiarizing, you will receive a zero on the assignment and you will be reported to the Student Conduct Committee. If you do not understand what constitutes plagiarism, then see me and I will explain it.  If you use more than one page to answer the questions (which you should), staple the pages together in the top left corner. Do not use a paper clip; do not fold the corners together; etc. Staple. If you fail to do this, you will receive a zero on the assignment. If you are able to double-side when you print, then do so. While it is okay to discuss the questions with another classmate or two, be sure to type up your own answers. If any two assignments are similar, I will call those students in to explain how this happened.
