Concept and development of software-based tools for configuration of customer-individual
wind energy systems based on the concept of "Membrane wind turbines"
Within the scope of a cooperation project the development of "Membrane windmills" is in
process. Prototypes of wind turbines based on reactive membranes should be the result of the
project.
Within the scope of a master thesis project a configuration tools should be developed, so that
the potential customer can form a customer-individual wind turbine with the help of webbased tools. Thereby the size (scalability), form (design of the sails), color (assortment of
textile), advertising elements (printing of the sails), special requests (light-emitting textiles and
others) and energy efficiency play a role. The result is a customer-individual "Membrane wind
turbine", which can be ordered by the customer exclusively and be built itself.
The following duties are to be solved in this project:
- Requirement analysis of processes and the software-basedsolutions.
- State of the art of the configuration tool for "Mass Customization"
- Work out of the variable parameters of the "Membrane windmills" andlimits.
- Process design and interaction scenarios from user view.
- Concept development of a tool for a configuration of customer-individual wind energy
systems.
- Design and implementation of a user interface.
- Software programming and implementing.
- Prototype test of the system with the help of concrete case studies.
The company conducts a research and transfer centre for application-oriented research and
development in the field of the product, procedure and process innovation for industrial
enterprise and the in addition required facilities on the area of the university. In these centre
faculties of the university, institutes and enterprises do research, test and implement
concentrated and interdisciplinary innovative technologies and solutions.
