Graduates of the Key Program Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations in the Bachelor of Business and Commerce demonstrate that they have met Course Level Learning Standards through study of this capstone unit in the final year – 200740 Human Resource and Industrial Relations Strategy. This unit is designed to complete the program by bringing together the areas of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations through the common theme of strategy. It connects with each of the units previously studied and offers an advanced interpretation of theory and contemporary practice. It is strategically aligned to be undertaken concurrently with the engaged unit. Learning outcomes for the unit are outlined below. 1. Analyse the role of strategy in contemporary human resource management and industrial relations. 2. Apply the implications of the various contemporary models of human resource and industrial relations strategy to the practice of human resource management and industrial relations. 3. Critically assess the role of human resource management and Industrial relations professionals and ethics, in order to engage responsibly in work and civic life on the basis of respect for diversity and social justice principles.
