Your task is to critically analyse two fine dining or up-market restaurants of two, 4-5 star hotels or resorts (i.e. one restaurant from each hotel or resort) in the city of the Perth, Western Australia. A 4-5 star stand-alone restaurant may be used if your research deems it more suitable for comparison (please discuss and gain approval for this option from your tutor). This task is to be completed in groups of four students and will be used in the Restaurant Concept Design Assignment (Concept Description – Feasibility aspects, self and competitor analysis section where 3 restaurants in total will be compared). The cuisine for each restaurant is modern Australian. The template provided should be used to facilitate the critical analysis of the two restaurants. Note that just completing the form does not indicate a critical analysis. You are required to identify similarities and differences in the operations and suggest a possible rationale for the similarities and differences.
