You should ensure that your assignment contains all of the following learning outcomes: 1.1 Analyse processes of encoding, storage and retrieval in relation to human memory with reference to evidence.

1.2 Evaluate models of human memory with reference to function. 2.1 Analyse explanations of forgetting, for example, decay, displacement, interference and context dependency, with reference to evidence.

2.2 Compare and contrast these explanations with reference to research evidence. 3.1 Evaluate mnemonic techniques (for example method of loci, pegwords) with reference to examples or evidence.

This grading guidance will be used alongside the marking guidelines for psychology found on Moodle Referral:

Referral grades will be given to any assignment that lacks appropriate citations and references; is heavily plagiarised or fails to adequately meet the criteria for a pass grade Pass Grade:

Distinction grade: There will be everything in the Merit category plus the following:

In order to gain a distinction grade there should be a thorough, detailed analysis of up to date, relevant material from a wide range of sources.
