Choose the topic that you would like to write, then write a response memo addressed to your instructor in which you state your chosen topic (1 or 2) and answer the following questions:

1. Which topic will you choose for Assignment? 2. What is the problem that you will be researching? Provide specifics, if possible: Where? What? (For instance, the customer service at the North/Lakeshore Campus Bookstore is very slow during the beginning of the semester.)

3. What is the problem question that comes to mind right now? Briefly restate what you understand the assignment to be (do not copy it, but restate it using your own words). (For instance, what would be the most effective and convenient way to improve service at the Campus Book Store during the beginning of the semester?)

4. Briefly, using your own words, restate what your understanding of the report is (3-5 sentences).
