Write an academic essay of around 3,000 words (*) concerning a major project delivery and its success or failure, taken from the literature or from what you know from newspaper reports. The work must be a project set within the United Arab emirates exclude this two projects ( Buj Khalifa and Buj Al Arab). The essay should include the following points: (i) Enough description of the major project delivery so that a reader can understand the rest of the essay, including the business context and/or business needs that caused the project to be initiated and why the management or the government took the Decision to do the project. (ii) Analyse the major stakeholders in the endeavor and briefly state how you would define success or failure for such a project each of them by doing schedule and giving each stake holder number example: 1(very major) , 2 ( half major) and 3 ( low major) depending and include description for each stake holder. Include a note of any contractual arrangement that you think would have been most appropriate for use between the parties. (iii) What do you think are the main risks (a minimum of six main risks) that apply (or applied) to the project? [Include aspects such as: What time/cost/technical outcomes do they affect? How big are they compared to the size of the parties involved?] (iv) Draw up a possible project network of around a minimum of 12 activities, and state what is likely to be the critical path. Stating some main risks to the timescale, note which activities are likely to be crucial or critical. (v) Draw up a list of the most important risks and issues (a minimum of 15, say). Show how these are related to each other in a causal map (including some of the management actions that would be undertaken, and the results of those actions, and so on). Discuss how this might be of value to project management. (vi) Describe the structures and methods do you think could and should have been used for governance and management of the project.
