Unit Three Case Analysis
Read the following CASE ANALYSIS – Pizza Delivered Quickly (be sure to read the case study
highlights/updates in both Chapters 11 and 12. The questions below pertain to case study
updates on pp. 449, 451, and 476).
Write a 3 to 5 page paper (1000 to 1500 words) in APA format in response to the questions and
calculations listed below. Following is a recommended outline.

- Overview of paper
3. Body
- Provide detailed explanations for the questions below:
o Generate the RBS for the Inventory Management sub-system project and
choose the model you will use. Rank order the specific models from best
fit to worse fit, and state your rationale for that ranking.
o Which sub-systems would you develop using an Agile model? Be specific
as to which model you would choose and why. List any advantages or
disadvantages that will result from your decision.
o Generate the RBS for the Factory Location software application. Comment
on the missing or partially defined functions and features. In generating
the RBS consider such questions as:
How many factory locations should there be?
Where should they be?
What criteria should be used to evaluate a location?
How many more delivery trucks will be needed?
o The Logistics sub-system development project will use INSPIRE. Use the
POS on p. 476 to answer the following questions:
If you were the approving manager, what questions would you
ask?

Revise the POS so that it addresses the questions you would
ask.
- Support your discussion with any necessary sources. Be sure to include intext
citations in all cases.

For the case study, construct the As Is and the To Be business processes for the Order
Entry subsystem. You may have to make some assumptions about the "As Is" process,
but just state your assumptions and move on. Referring to the PDQ case study, what
PMLC model would you use for each of the six subsystems (Order Entry, Order Submit,
Logistics, Routing, Inventory Management, and Pizza Factory Locator)? Defend your
choices.
b. Use the example order entry use case (p. 623) for PDQ that you can use to help you
answer the preceding question.
c. Describe how you would implement a PSO at PDQ. What programs would you
implement to move the organization from Level 2 to eventually Level 4?
