A. Develop a list of privacy protection features that should be present if a Web site is serious about protecting privacy. Then, visit at least four well-known Web sites and examine their privacy policies. Write a report that rates each of the Web sites on the criteria you have developed. B. During early days of e-commerce, first-mover advantage was touted as one way to success. On the other hand, some suggest that being a market follower can yield rewards as well. Which approach has proven to be more successful – first mover or follower? Choose two e-commerce companies that prove your point and prepare a 3- 5 page report to explain your analysis and position. Criteria:  This is an individual assignment.  Students must answer both the questions and each answer must be around 3-5 pages excluding references and appendices. 27 Requirement 1 - Research and Referencing  This refers to the amount and quality of research which should be evident in the referencing and in the ideas put across in this paper.  Please refer to the Guidelines from Kaplan APMI/ University for more details on referencing.  Referencing includes in-text references (citations) and end-text references (a List of References). You are kindly asked to state the page numbers in your citations.  In-text and end-text references are compulsory! You must cite for each idea. Requirement 2 – Relevance and Scope  This refers to the actual material in the paper which should be relevant and extensive in its coverage.  The material in your core textbooks and lesson coverage are guidelines in defining the scope to be covered.  You may need to cover areas that are not in the lesson coverage.  Using additional material / ideas from your own experience, or from other references, is welcome. Requirement 3 – Clarity and Interest  This refers to the effort made to explain ideas clearly and this should be evident in the ease with which one can read the paper.  Efforts to make the paper interesting (e.g. by use of diagrams, case studies and in the manner of explanation) are covered under this section.  Acronyms and jargon should be explained.  Diagrams and tables should be used to support (but not replace) the narrative. They must be part of the main body and not placed in appendices. Requirement 4 - Structure and Presentation  The paper is typed using standard word processing software  The cover page should state the subject, your name, student number, class code, assignment number / type, and the topic.  For group projects, all the names of your team members must appear.  Pages must be numbered.  The paper must be well structured, with the paper divided into sections.
