The deadline is to 23:59 Friday 16th December 2016. 2. Blackboard submission only; two attempts allowed. 3. Format: Microsoft Word (version 2010 and above) docx file or PDF file; maximum 8 a4 pages (excluding the appendix); 11 or 12 points font. 4. Your submission must include an appendix containing the source code you use to produce the analysis. Instructions: 1. Format requirements. Please observe the following requirements. Failure to do so may cause reduction of your marks. 1.1You need to submit a technical report (hereafter referred as 'the report') to show how you complete the project and how the aspects listed in the project description document are addressed. 1.2The report should be done electronically in Microsoft Word docx format (version 2010 and above) or PDF format. 1.3The report must not exceed 8 (eight) A4 pages, excluding the cover sheet. Any single excessive page will cause a deduction of 10% of your mini-project marks. 1.4The page size must be A4 all through the report with the main part in Portrait. You may use Landscape mode to display wide tables, however no other page size can be used. 1.5Page margins should be set at least 1 cm from any side. 1.6The line space of the text must be at least 1.1. 1.7Font of the main text should be set 11 or 12 points in size, either Times New Roman or Arial excluding mathematical equations.2 1.8All pages should be properly numbered. 1.9All figures and tables should be properly numbered and captioned. 2. Inclusion the MATLAB code as the appendix of your report. 2.1You must include your MATLAB code in the appendix. 2.2 The source code is advised to be formatted using Courier New font with a size of 11 point. 2.3 The source code/appendix should stay in the report file, i.e., only one single file to be submitted. 2.4 The source code does not have to be comprehensive, but should be able to demonstrate the capability to reproduce the main analysis results that determine/affect your conclusion. 2.5The source code will not be marked but will be used to check the originality and the ownership of the report/mini-project. 3. Submission the report. 5.1 Please note that the deadline is 23:59 Friday 16th December 2016. 3.1You must submit your completed report (a single Microsoft Word docx file or PDF file) using Blackboard only. Email submissions will not be accepted or marked. 3.2You can have maximum two (2) attempts of submission. If multiple submissions are made, only the last submission is marked. 3.3 No late submission will be accepted. Please do not email any late submissions to Dr. Xuan after the deadline, as they will not be answered or marked. 3.4 You are strongly encouraged to submit the report a few hours before the deadline to avoid potential technical problems. In the rare event that a technical problem that affecting your submission before the deadline, please report Dr. Xuan by email immediately. Please note that this has to be done before the deadline and no email of such type will be answered after the deadline. 4. Grading/marking and feedback 4.1The maximum possible mark is 60% (of your module mark, all the marks mentioned below are referred to the same scale, i.e., that out of the entire module marks. 4.2 Attendance checking. Those students who have been absent (without approved EC) from more than 3 (three) PCLabs, will immediately be deducted by 5%, i.e., the max marks of their miniprojects are 55%. 4.3 Submissions without an appendix of MATLAB code used will be deducted by 20%.3 4.4Marking will be focused on the contents 45% and the format (clear structure, presentation) 15%. 4.5Every student will be given feedback along with the detailed breakdown of the marks. 4.6Standard college time-frame of marking applies (three working weeks of submission). Feedback will be given with detailed breakdown of their marks. 5. Combating Academic Misconduct Please keep in mind this is an individual project. Every student has to complete and submit the project report independently. There is a zerotolerance towards plagiarism. Any suspicious submission will be referred to the relative authorities of the college or the university. Those involved may face severe consequence if the case is confirmed. 6.
