Task MGT8034: Guidelines to Case Study 1 (Due 11 January 2016 ) The main guidelines for case study 1 ar e fairly expl icit in the assessment guide. From page 1 , it sets out what is required for case study 1 . The style guide for re ferencing is included from page 7 of your assessment guide . Please carefully follow this guideline when quoting books, chapters, journals etc. In addition to the m ai n guidelines, please note the following: 1. Please write up to 2000 words. You may write up to an additional 200 words if you think it helps the main argument you are making; 2. Please quote from the references for module 1 listed on page 1 and 2 of your study book. There are 8 references here. Since case study 1 is addressing SHRM and skill development , please examine specif ically reading 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 . These are listed on page 1 and 2 of your main study book. 3. The relevant chapters from your textbook Millmore et al for case study 1 are chapters 1, 2 and 3 plus chapter 9 on performance management. The relevant chapter s from your second book by Davila, Epstein and Shelton are chapters 2, 8 and 9 . 4. Please demonstrate evidence of your knowledge of at least these specific readings mentioned in point 2 and 3 above throughout your case study answer . Strong evidence in your case study that you have read and understood these readings will increase your chances for a higher mark; 5. In summary, please use the references listed on page 1 and 2 of your introductory book plus the chapters 1,2, 3 and 9 from Millmore et al. Please also use chapters 2, 8 and 9 from the innovation textbook by Davila et al; 6. You should use these references in ways that inform and assist the pr oblem statement you are answering on page 9 of your Introductory Book .
