During Week 13, students will have the opportunity to present their work to other members of the class, your clients, academic staff and industry representatives. There are two components to this presentation of your work: · A 5 min Ignite oral presentation and · A 60 – 90 second (max) video that demonstrates some aspect of your project (this could be software, the design process, the lit review etc). This task requires you to "translate" complex technical information from your project research to a short video that would be of interest to a general audience in an interesting and engaging manner c Internal and external students are expected to complete the presentation at the same time. The unit co-ordinator will allocate all students a timeslot for their presentation and this will be posted in Learnline. Presentations will be marked by your supervisor and other staff members, (your client, if appropriate) and industry representatives. Purpose The project presentations are designed to · Demonstrate your conceptual understanding by developing visual tools to support the explanation of the complex technical information · Professionally deliver scientific/technical ideas in an audio-visual format. · Demonstrate your ability to combine a range of presentation media to effectively engage an audience.
