Develop a research proposal in which students describe a research project that seeks to unearth issues relating to social marginalisation in Australia. Individuals may focus on one of the following concepts – gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, class and disability. HINT: Most – if not all – of these social constructs frequently overlap in the real world, therefore the proposal may cover such intersectionality; however, this is optional. The proposal structure should/could include the following elements, but not necessarily in this order; furthermore, students can insert additional – or use different – (sub) headings/sections: A Title Page; An Abstract; A Contents Page; A List of Tables and Figures (Inclusion is Optional – depends on whether students have tables, diagrams etc.); The Scope of Research; - Research Questions and Aims - Definitions/Terms of Reference (TORs) (Placement is Optional – may be briefly covered here and expanded upon in the methodology section; or just form part of the introduction/methodology alone; alternatively a full breakdown of key words/concepts and acronyms could be placed after the contents/list of tables or listed as an appendix) A Literature Review.
