Assignment requirement 3000words, excluding references. APA Style
You are to develop an ORIGINAL Instructional Design analysis. Your report o the analysis should contain
the following sections:
1. An overview that includes
a. a title for your design, a statement of the purpose of the design,
b. a brief description of the learners (refer to article Smith, P. & Ragan, T. (2005).
Instructional analysis: Analyzing the learner. In Instructional Design (Third Edition),
Chapter 4 (pp. 57-74). Hoboken, NJ: John Wiley and Sons.,
c. and where the design would be implemented (ideally across Asia in various sales
representative offices)
2. An overview of Instructional Design process (20%)
a. Explain the steps you took in your design and why you took them
b. This is an important section, worth 20%. This section demonstrated your understanding
of ID in general
c. Refer to literature, using APA style
3. An analysis of factors impacting on the design (50%), include:
a. Problem (5%)
i. It starts with an introduction to the problem or challenge you are addressing
ii. This first part need not refer to literature, but should give reader a good sense
of the rationale for your ID.
b. Context (5%)
i. After introducing the problem, analyze the 'context' of the problem
ii. Context in my case: I am to conduct a TTT, to train Regional Sales Managers
(RSM) to be equipped to train their respective sales representative back in their
home country across. To train RSM on the Features and Benefits of Trinium, a
new type of suture for wound closure.
c. Learners (10%)
i. Provide an analysis of the learner group
ii. Learners van be known in detail and individually, or their characteristics can be
deduced from the problem and context
iii. Reference literature when analyzing the learners (ID literature such as :
Smith, P. & Ragan, T. (2005). Instructional analysis: Analyzing the learner. In
Instructional Design (Third Edition), Chapter 4 (pp. 57-74). Hoboken, NJ: John
Wiley and Sons.)
d. Task (including critical justification of learning types framework) (30%)
i. Provide a succinct description of the task
ii. Use and critically justify a taxonomy (Learning types framework) for analyzing
the task. This analysis will tell you what types of learning are implicit in the task.
iii. Identify the content for each type of learning and write objectives for
each content
iv. Reference literature when analyzing the task (eg source of your
taxonomy, approach to objectives writing)
4. A conclusion that indicates next steps in the design process
5. Reference List (need a minimum of 18 references, including those in the reference list attached)
