It does not include the Executive Summary, Table of Contents, Reference List. Your task is to write a report regarding ERP software and vendor selection. Initial reading: Chapter 6 (Motiwalla & Thompson 2012). Further research on academic literature and high quality industry sources is required. Support your arguments by at least six references from academic sources (such as textbooks, peer-reviewed journal articles) and high quality industry sources. Do not use sources that were published before 2009. You should include the Title Page, Executive Summary, Table of Contents, Introduction, Body, Conclusion, Recommendations and Reference List in your report. In your report, ensure you cover the major issues related to ERP software and vendor selection, including the following: • Overview on the related processes, such as matching user requirements to features, vendor research, request for bids, vendor analysis and bid evaluation, contract management and license agreement. • Discussion on major issues in these processes, as shown in academic literature and high quality industry sources. • As a professional, make recommendations for solving problems and managing the issues. Apply theories into real life practice, with high quality references as support. Presentation of Report You must include the following: • Title Page – include an appropriate title of report, your name, your student ID, unit name, unit code and Lecturer of your campus. Graphics or pictures are not required on the title page. • Executive Summary. Provide a concise summary of the whole report in no more than one page. • Table of Contents (auto generated using the word processor). • Introduction - this section should introduce the general aims, background of topics and scope (areas / issues to be discussed in the report). • Body - this is where you discuss your findings in detail. Headings and sub-headings should be included with the logical progression of your report from one idea to the next. Do not use the word 'Body' as a heading - identify words that relate to your report for the heading. • Recommendations - in this section you need to describe the recommendations you would make. All recommendations need to be supported by discussion in the body section. Do not write these recommendations as dot points. • Conclusion - in this section you need to summarise your work and findings. You should introduce no new points in your conclusion. • Reference List - this is a list of all the sources you have cited in your assessment, including the case study. Use Harvard (author-date) referencing style for your in-text citations as well as your Reference List. Refer to the latest CQU Harvard Referencing Guide for guidelines and examples. Publication of Assessment As per University policies, assessment for this assignment will not be released until the certification date.
