Contract Assignment A. Cover 1. Cover states type of contract (i.e. residential lease, non- compete, copyright...) PLUS the title "Contract Project" PLUS student's name, date and contact information. (for a total of 5 items worth 6 points each) B. General Questions 1. Create a table with two columns. Name the first column 'Big Contract' and the second column (small contract). Then, list all the parts you can identify in each of the contracts using bullet points in the order of which you identify those. 2. Look at the table you just built Are there any parts in the small contract that don't show in the big contract? If so, which one(s)? And, in that case, would you recommend adding that (those)? Why? 3. Are there any parts in the small contract that you believe to be better written than in the big contract? If so, please explain. 4. Imagine yourself on both ends of the contract, first as a licensor, and then as a licensee. Now which one of the contracts would you rather sign? Make sure you state your choice from each of the perspectives, and justify. 5. If you were the licensor, and your lawyer presented you with the small contract to use to license your technology; AND, knowing what you know after reading the big contract, if you could only add (or change) 5 clauses to the small contract, which ones would you add/change? How? 6. Bonus question – Do you think either contract is unethical or unfair in any way? If so, how?
