The Task 1. To be a successful wireless communications engineer, understanding of Shannon's capacity formula and Nyquist criterion are crucial. In this assignment, you have to demonstrate your understanding of the two concepts by carrying out following task: a) Discuss the importance of Shannon's capacity formula and Nyquist criterion in designing wireless communication system. Then, explain with a numerical example, the interdependency of bandwidth and Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) achieving certain data rate. [50% of the score] c) Write a program using Matlab, that will take SNR (in dB) and Bandwidth as input value and will calculate achievable data rate (capacity) and maximum supported signalling level (modulation level) for the given values. [hint: you need to use Shannon's formula and Nyquist criterion]. You should use the values of Bandwidth and SNR (dB) from the following table as input and then complete the blank spaces of the table with the simulation results. You should consider each column as individual combinations (for example, your system should calculate data rate and signalling levels for a given SNR of 10 dB and 10 MHz Bandwidth and so on.)
