Task Research and review the existing performance management system in your organisation or one with which you are familiar, and then write a report which critically evaluates the performance management system processes and documentation. Relevant groups and individuals are consulted on work to be allocated and resources to be deployed including work plans that are developed in accordance with operational plans. b. Performance indicators are developed from key result areas and are agreed prior to commencement of work. c. Risk analyses are undertaken in accordance with the organisational risk management plan and legal requirements. d. Performance management processes are reviewed, monitored and evaluated to ensure consistency with organisational objectives and policies on a continuous basis. e. Participants are trained in the performance management and review process and are able to conduct performance management in accordance with organisational time lines. f. Informal feedback is given in a regular, timely manner and used to construct formal structured feedback sessions which occur in accordance with organisational policy. g. On-the-job coaching is provided when necessary, both to improve performance and confirm excellence in performance. h. Excellence in performance is reinforced through recognition and continuous feedback. i. Poor performance is identified promptly and brought to the attention of the individuals not meeting expectations. j. Performance improvement and development plans are developed in accordance the needs of the employee and the organisation. k. Individuals who continue to perform below expectations are counselled and, where necessary, placed within the disciplinary process. l. Terminations processes where serious misconduct or on-going underperformance occurs are in accordance with organisational and legal requirements m. Documentation of performance is in accordance with the performance management system 2.
