Assignment title: Management

A transmitter that is able to handle up to 4 analog sensors with the output ranging from millivolts to volts (0 to 10 VDC max)  Maximum 50 feet operating range  Sampling range 1 kHz (preferred 10 kHz)  Temperature range -40ºC to 80ºC  Receiver able to receive signals from 5 transmitters at a time  Small sized transmitters Transmitter Requirements: 1. The wireless transmitter should operate across a wide temperature range (-40C to 80C) 2. The minimum sampling rate should be 1 kHz with a preferred sampling rate is equal to 10 kHz. 3. Four analog inputs are required: one for Load/Torque, one for actuator travel, and two analog inputs for switches. 4. The transmitter should be powered by a rechargeable battery that will also deliver power to the sensors and switches. 5. The minimum operating range of the transmitter should be 50 feet. 6. The transmitter should be capable of transmitting data to different receivers as an operator may decide to use it in different test set ups. 7. The communication protocol must be easy and simple for the operator to use. 8. The transmitter, battery, and signal conditioner needs to be compact and small to be operated in a compact enclosure. Receiver Requirements: 1. The receiver must be capable of receiving data at a minimum sampling rate of 1 kHz with a preferred sampling rate of 10 kHz. 2. The required operating range of the receiver is 50 to 100 feet. 3. The receiver should have an analog corresponding to each signal received. 4. The receiver should be capable of receiving signals from different transmitters and identify the source transmitter. 5. The communication protocol must be easy and simple for the operator to use. 6. The unit must be cost effective.
