You need to perform some research across websites and academic sources (such as journals) to find mobile website design guidelines/principles (determined by your student number). Mobile websites are those accessed from your mobile device (phone/tablet) using a mobile browser. From your reading and understanding, you need to create your own set of guidelines (advice on how to design usable mobile websites) that could be given to a designer to use/check their work against. For example, see Google’s advice for developers – this could be one of your sources that you could read, understand and paraphrase within your own guidelines. You need to ensure you understand what you’re including as these same guidelines will be used in Assignment 2 (so don’t try and also analyse websites in this assignment either). Your guidelines will need to cover some broad areas and be more general, eg, mobile website navigation overall rather than covering specific scenarios, eg, navigation in discussion forums, online shopping, etc. The Report Content Requirements section in the assignment instructions provides an overview of the sections to include.
