Literature Review: Emergent technologies supporting strategic priorities Required Length: 2000 words Marks Allocated: 50% Details The topic: review frameworks, processes and criteria for assessing emergent technologies that will support your company’s (or an organisation that you are familiar with) strategic priorities. This review should include a comparison of two frameworks for assessing emergent technologies, and a critique of processes and criteria that your employer (or an organisation that you are familiar with) use for assessing emergent technology initiatives, compared with industry best practice that you have researched. Conduct a critical evaluation of relevant existing literature. This literature review should focus on relevant texts and other references relating to (for example) “assessing emergent technologies for business value”. Issues to consider are: a) History of the development of the literature re assessing emergent technologies b) Key themes within the literature re best practice processes and criteria c) Consistent recommendations that you identify re how to assess how emergent technologies which will support strategic priorities I am expecting a comprehensive review of the relevant literature, and will evaluate how you critique the various viewpoints. Evidence and arguments (60%) This section should include a clear statement of issues, and your discussion should use evidence from literature to support your views. You will receive marks for the flow of logical arguments, and validity of recommendations and conclusions you make. 3. Reference and citation (20%) Your selection of references, correct bibliographic format and adequate citation of references are important for this portion of the marks.
