Our project talks about supply chain in Oryx Company; this company has a long supply chain. We divide supply chain in Oryx to 3 stage, stage no 1(provide raw material), stage no 2(Process and manufacturing) stage no 3 (distributions, selling, and export). The main problem in stage no 1, in this stage the company lose a lot of money ( buying material from the board, pay for shipping, pay for insurance, pay for custom, pay for transport, pay for storage in warehouses). The Solution for all this leaking is used JIT (just in time). So we must prove that (for Teachers, for company) How the JIT well help the company to get more profit. Moreover how JIT will help the Omani economy. The objective of the project is using the JIT technique in Oryx Company. Research questions: How JIT will help ORYX to develop the supply chain and logistics? Is the JIT strategy will help ORYX and another companies in Oman? Is JIT strategy able to apply in ORYX ? If ORYX apply JIT how can they avoid the disadvantages of this strategy? What are the companies can ORYX dealing with in Oman? Is these companies are ready and trusted to provide raw materials for ORYX? The Problem in this company is Supply chain is too long. Explain the supply chain in Oryx divide in 3 stages. First stage is to provide raw materials and storage in their where house. Second stage is process and manufacturing. Third stage is distributions, selling, and export. Short brief about stage no 1: when the company take order from customer for example to make trailer Tanker, Truck Mounted, Silo or Trailer, supply chain start work ,so they start to search about the specific raw materials from the abroad like Spain, Turkey, Brazil, India and Australia. After buying the materials from the supplier, the Oryx company pay a lot of money to shipping; also it pay for insurance. Those processes will take long time (lead time take more than 5 months). When the materials arrived to Sohar port they have pay the customs tax, also this process take around 10 days. Then, the company uses its fleet to transport the materials from the Sohar port to its warehouses; this company has 4 warehouses for raw materials only. Three of these warehouses taken by rent around 20,000 OMR monthly. Moreover, when the materials are arrived to Oman it effected by the corrosion and that will cost Oryx company a lot of money to fix it by painting. We found that the company loses a lot and a lot of money in this stage. Our research will focus on this stage and we are going to persuade the company to use JIT (Just In Time). This technique will help the company to decrease the cost, time and the company efforts. Also, increase the efficient (you have to know a lot about the JIT methods available in the internet websites and how the JIT helps the business to get more profits). There are many supplier can supplied them here in Oman. Note that we want to focus only in local companies. Our challenges: The company is already use traditional supply system… How we can persuade the company to use JIT ? If there are any questions about the company we are ready to answer it. Also we can collect real data from the company. Analyze supply chain in Oryx Metal Company When the company received order from customer to make Trailer Tanker. Currently process of supply chain used by Oryx.  STAGE NO 1: 1. Procurement department asked (ROQ) request of quotation from supplier, those supplier located in Asia, Europe, and South America. Often Oryx deal with 14 suppliers around the world. 2. Logistic department start looking for a shipping company to Trans raw material from supplier to Sohar port. For this process often the deal with 5 shipping company. The choice suitable depends to price and time. 3. Also the company responsible to pay insurance during lad time. 4. When raw material arrived to Sohar port the company will pay for customs clearance this process takes at list three days 5. After custom clearance finish Oryx pay for locale Logistics Company to transit material to warehouse. 6. Oryx has four warehouses for raw material, located 19 km from port. Only one of those four owned by company and pay rent for three (around 20,000 OMR monthly). Now the stage no 1 fined and material ready to Trans to Stage no 2 Process Area. In stage no 1 Oryx spend a lot of money, a lot of time, and a lot of effort.  STAGE NO 2: 1. Before Start work in this stage the material must be sent to work shop no 1 to clean and remove corrosion resulting from shaping and storage (for this process Oryx used special chemical, this chemical very expansive). 2. After clean material sent to first line, here a lot of activates doing like Cutting of iron, Bend the iron to take the appropriate shape, Welding parts together, and fix tank with chassis. 3. At the end of the first line process the product will be as semifinal product, and send it to second line. 4. In second line also they do a lot activates like tasting (different type of tasting), panting, and fixed the rubber accessories. 5. At the end of second line the product will be as fished product. Then the send to stage no 3.  STAGE NO 3: In this stage the products is ready for delivery to customer. When Oryx used (JIT) for the same order the supply chain will be short. Supply chain in Oryx by using (JIT) technic  STAGE NO 1: In this stage the company will deal only with one or two suppliers who located in Oman and this suppliers well provide the raw materials daily in process area (direct to stage no 2). So Oryx will make contract with this supplier for all materials need to cover the order from customer. The supplier responsible for drive the materials, also responsible about any delay. Here we can say that by used this method Oryx will dispense stage no 1, moreover Oryx will save money, save time and the productivity increases.  STAGE NO 2: The process in the stage will be same but no need send materials to work shop no 1 to cline because the materials came from supplier with out corrosion.  STAGE NO 3: NO change in the stage.
