I have to write review on this article. The Internet for Political Purposes The United States was
the first who started to use tools and technologies of Internet communication. The main goal of
planning strategy of the use the Internet in the course of the election campaign is to increase the
attractiveness of electronic pages and their direct advertising. In the process of campaigns, the
technologists use the newest technological innovations. By the beginning of Barack Obama''s
campaign in 2008, his team created and realized a personal website, also deserted a social
network for like-minded people (Jungherr, 2016). One of the main tasks was to increase the
appearance in the elections. Therefore, the assistances decided to direct to new and indifferent
groups of the population, with a help of using new media and the results justified all hopes. In
addition, the use of the Internet technologies has helped in the financing of the campaign. Obama
succeeded in collecting over 500 million dollars for his election campaign by means of the small
donations (Penenberg, 2013). Obama''s personal website included many links to other online
resources that served as the additional facilities for attracting the voters, especially young
activists. The mates created many organizations that used the Internet to support the interests of
the candidate. They placed the publicity on the websites that showed his or her politics to the
best advantage. However, these had bad effect and often appeared to untruth or distorted facts, or
paraphrased statements, also there were mass bombings of Internet users. The Obama’s team
managed to use the online tools in their work for achieving political goals. From this point,
digital technologies had taken one of the leading places in the arsenal of American political
technologists. The use of the Network has become an integral part of the political campaigns.
