Assignment title: Information
Biomass Response:
-Tests if phenotype biomass affects the combination
Dependent variable: Biomass
-Using SPSS, she (prof) ran ANOVA
2. Environment: Fertilizer and Non-Fertilizer
- Fertilizers have mean value lower than Non-Fertilizer. Non-Fertilizers have more flowering plants than Fertilizers. Perhaps in fertilizer’s environment, delayed flowers. In non-fertilizers environment, there were more flowering plants and perhaps that was because it was over fertilized. Whatever it is, it is not normal for agriculture.
- No fertilized plants produced more biomass than non-fertilizers.
1. Genotype:
Draw the values into a graph. From this table , we don’t know if there is sig. difference, so we need to compare the SA, TA, TC and tell the difference.
Pairwise Comparison:
- Compare them e.g TC and TA
- What are the difference, and why?
Flowering Response:
- Used Kruskal-Wallis which is similar to CHi-Test and found out that there is statistic different and another test was then ran called Mann-Whitney U Test which was used to determine if the environment influenced the flowering or not. Fertilizers (not flowering much) and no fertilizers (tend to see more plants flowering)
GXE-> Similar to ANOVA
- Ran another analysis called GXE which is similar to ANOVA and allows for flowering non-normal distribution.
- Tests between subject effects
- Tests between genotype and environment
- No sig. genotype affects
Flowers either flowered or not, check the biomass of the genotype and the environment between subject factors
For results also write: We use SPSS computer program to analysis the data Don’t include the “Correct Model and Intercept”, but put the rest of the table information
Dependent Variable: Biomass
- Phenotype biomass if affected by the three values-> Genotype, Environment, Error.
- P<0.05 if its statistically different
- For example: if it has 0.15 sig. number then YES there is statistic different in genotype.
- And Yes there is statistic different between two plants
Pairwise Comparison:
- SA->TA
- SA->TC
- What are the difference between the above (SA->TA, SA->TC, etc) and why?
