Following on from Assignment 1 where you Evaluated the effectiveness of Lean manufacturing
within the Automotive and Aerospace
Most Automotive production lines rely heavily on automation during the manufacturing process.
State the advantages of computer controlled technology with relation to lean manufacturing,
compare and contrast the advantages between manual and automated assembly and production
methods within the Automotive sector. Give some examples of quality control in relation to
products manufactured, visual systems, and 3 methods of problems solving.
Your Evaluation and report should be a minimum of 1250 words and a Maximum of 1500

in-depth evaluation relating to lean tools and techniques.

relation to lean manufacturing in Automotive
D A pass. Lack of comprehensive detail, understanding of Lean tools and
techniques
F A fail. Insufficient evidence, very low level of understanding of Lean tools
and techniques. Content lacks structure.
