Assignment title: Management
A data flow diagram (DFD) is a picture of the movement of data between external entities and the processes and data stores within a system. Systems analysts use data flow diagrams to help model the processes internal to an information system and how data from the system's environment enter the system, are used by the system, and are returned to the environment.
Complete the following:
• Assume you are an analyst responsible for translating the system structure of a retail clothing store in a mall structure into a DFD.
1. Draw a context diagram and a level-0 diagram that represent the selling system at the store.
2. Choose a transaction that you are likely to encounter, perhaps ordering a cap and gown for graduation, and develop a high-level DFD or a context diagram. Decompose this to a level-0 diagram.
See attached to see part of the textbook DFD rules and examples.
