Instructions:
The Project and Oral presentation 2 for CON 1032 Human Resource
Project Management is designed to allow the students to apply tools and
techniques that are discussed in class. Following the defined
construction project in Project #1 of this course, the students are asked
to deliver two major deliverables in their second Project.
1. Applying different leadership styles for different stages or phases of
construction project
2. List common conflicts between project team members or
stakeholders
Projects are both group assignment. Each group must submit their
project and present their final work based on the evaluation timetable
deadline. Project report should include cover sheet with group team
members. Consider the required project management skills, tools and
techniques when working in a group and try to make an effective
project team. Peer evaluation should be submitted separate via email to

Project
For your defined construction Project, clarify the stages or phases for
the whole project life cycle. These stages should be stated clearly. You
can use a typical phase’s structure used for construction projects or
customize phases for your own project. Next, as a project manager you
are going to identify different leadership style/styles which is/are more
appropriate for different stages of your project. For each stage of
project, at least two situations/examples should be assumed and for
each situation the best leadership style should be applied by providing
complete and convincing reasons.
Also each group should list common conflicts arisen in their construction
project. These conflicts should be separated by phase or stage of
project. The conflicts can be identified between all the project team
members or between all the project stakeholders. There is no limit for
the number of the conflicts each group is going to identify.

Oral Presentation # 2
Oral presentation is related to your defined project. The students are
asked to prepare a high-level conflict resolution plan. As a construction
project manager you should select what technique is more appropriate
for each identified conflict. Each student has to participate in one part
of project presentation. Each student should select at least two conflicts
and by providing reasonable explanations should determine the best
conflict resolution technique. Manage your time when you are
presenting your final work. Each group has 20 minutes to present the
work.
For oral presentation you need to demonstrate two deliverables.
Part 1:
Provide a high-level conflict resolution plan
Part 2:
Explain at least two conflicts and their suggested solution
techniques by each student
