Question 1: Internet of Things Internet of Things (IoT) is a trend towards automation and many of its applications are already available. One of its applications is in logistics and supply chain area. You have to investigate what benefits IoT can bring to logistics and supply chain. Answer the following questions: 1- How IoT improves the efficiency in the supply chain? 2- Use an example of fresh food (meat, milk,…) to explain how IoT helps improving fresh food supply chain? Question 2: GTP systems Goods-To-Person (GTP) systems are used for automatic material handling. These systems remove manual material handling and therefore improve order picking process. Answer the following questions: 1- Discuss GTP components and processes? 2- Apparel distribution is a challenge. Discuss how GTP can improve apparel distribution.
