Assessment 2: Oral Presentation (group) (10%) To be presented in Week 6 - during Tutorial Students are required to conduct elementary research into a given topic and incorporate any relevant information acquired into a short oral presentation to be delivered to the class. The quality of the research, the effectiveness of the presentation (of both the PowerPoint and presenters), I.T. skills employed, and the degree to which the teams work as a group, will all be assessed. Your Task: Part A: Undertake Research Students are to form groups of no more than three students, and select a topic from those listed below. You will then undertake sufficient research to enable you to gain a broad understanding of the topic, and all issues and potential solutions associated with the topic. Part B: Present your research You are to create a PowerPoint presentation and an accompanying handout summarising your findings. Both are to be presented to the class during the designated tutorial. All group members are expected to contribute equally in the research and creation of the presentation (peer assessment will be conducted at the end of the session). You will be assessed on the quality of your research, the effectiveness of the PowerPoint and the handout, and how well both communicate your findings (both your verbal and non-verbal delivery techniques), and the contribution of all group members. A feedback sheet will be administered at the end of the presentation to gain audience feedback and inform your subsequent report. Topics: You may choose one topic from the list below. 1.
