Assessment task 1
You are required to read the case “Kent Chemical: Organizing for International Growth” and answer the assigned questions in an essay format.
The essay should comprise:
• A brief introduction
• A main body, where you analyse the case by answering the assigned questions
• A brief conclusion, where you can summarize your analysis, provide recommendations, etc.
• A bibliography
When answering the questions:
• While using an essay style format, indicate which question you are answering in a specific part of the text by using numbers (e.g., Q.1, Q.2, etc.). Note that you can decide the order of the questions (e.g., you can start by answering question 3 rather than question 1, if you like).
• Analyse the case by drawing upon relevant academic and industry sources, with a minimum of 5 peer-reviewed sources (e.g., academic journal articles).
• Support your analysis by using table, figures, charts, etc. whenever it is appropriate.
• The word count is 4000 words (+/-10%), excluding the reference list and appendices.
• The assignment accounts for 50% of the total mark of the subject.
• Submit (a) an electronic copy of the essay through turnitin and (b) a hardcopy of the essay to your tutor.
• The submission through turnitin is due at 9am on the 2nd of May 2017.
• A signed assignment cover sheet must be attached to the essay.
