3019MKT Franchising and Small Business Trimester 1, 2017 Assessment 3 Due Diligence Presentation Due date Week 7 Friday 21 April (5 pm) Instructions One of your relatives (Uncle Xavier) is considering either becoming a franchisee in a dog washing franchise or operating an independent dog washing business. Uncle Xavier is unsure whether to buy an existing franchise territory or business or start up a new territory. As Uncle Xavier knows you are studying this course he has asked you to explain what Due Diligence he should do to make a sound decision. You are required to prepare a short presentation explaining the specific steps Uncle Xavier should undertake in his due diligence. The presentation must give practical and specific advice for Uncle Xavier. Format Use either PowerPoint slides with audio or record a video via YouTube for your presentation. Please accompany the presentation with a copy of your script – this is helpful if there are any issues with the sound. Length/Size The presentation should be a maximum of five minutes in length.
