Task Description: Assignment 2 defines the confirmed requirements for the designated case study. The report should address one of the six information systems perspectives on flipped classrooms. If you wish to refer to material from your Assignment 1 submission, please include this in the Appendices. The assignment should be presented in a report format and include the following elements. Please see below for assignment format requirements. 1. Introduction (maximum 150 words) Identify which general business problem the assignment addresses Identify the specific information systems perspective adopted for this assignment Identify and briefly describe any issues (such as inability to access information) which affected the compilation of the report 2. Approach to Requirements Management (maximum 200 words) Discuss requirements management (cf BABOK chapter 4) in relation the Business Analysis Planning Approach (2.1) 3. Solution Scope and Business Case Define the solution scope and how it addresses the stakeholder requirements (cf BABOK 5.4.4.1) Discuss briefly potential benefits and risks (cf BABOK 5.5.4.1 and 5.5.4.3) 4. Requirements analysis Business requirements – Based on your discussion in section 3, state and prioritise at least four the major business requirements (cf BABOK page 5 and 6.1). List the requirements in order of priority and discuss briefly the basis for prioritisation. Stakeholder requirement – In relation to the first priority business requirement, identify and state one requirement for a stakeholder or group of stakeholders (cf BABOK page 5 and 3.3.7) Functional requirement - Describe one functional requirement (cf BABOK page 6) of a solution which will meet the stakeholder requirement indicated above. The description should be in the format of a fully developed 'Use Case' description ( not a diagram) (cf BABOK 9.26, Satzinger et al, chapter 5) Non-functional requirements. State relevant non-functional requirements (cf BABOK page 6 and 9.17)2 NB the statements of business and stakeholder requirements should be made in natural language. 5. Conclusion ( Maximum 150 words) Summarise the most important points from your report, referring to the relevant sections. Do not include new information. Evidence All analysis and discussion should be supported by evidence and all sources of evidence must be clearly cited and listed in the Reference List. All evidence should be accessible to the tutor/marker via the web, university library or student workbooks. If your use of evidence in the assignment is not clear, you may be asked to provide copies. Evidence may include: Lecture slides, readings and other course materials on learning@griffith Interviews Required and recommended texts News items Professional and industry reports Academic sources (journals and conference papers) The report should be based on relevant concepts from BABOK, relevant lecture slides and course readings. As for Assignment 1, it is expected that there will be overlap between the information systems perspectives, but each assignment must be presented as individual work. SUBMISSION Instructions for submission will be provided well before the due date. If an extension is required, submit a request before the due date, along with the relevant documentation. Extensions of more than two weeks will require students to undertake a special assessment. Late assignments will be penalised by 10% per day, unless students can provide appropriate documentation for late submission (accident etc). Assignments submitted five days late will not be assessed, unless extenuating circumstances can be proved. Note - If aspects of your assignment are unclear, you may be interviewed before being given your final mark. ASSIGNMENT FORMAT: The assignment must contain: Title page: Student name, student number, degree, course code and title (7103ICT, Business Analysis), assignment title (Assignment 2), business problem, your perspective, word count, tutor's name, due date Covering letter (not more than one page) Executive summary (not more than one page) Table of contents The report organised into sections as specified above (maximum 2,000 words) References (Harvard or APA Method).
